§ 10-21. Created.

As authorized by Tex. Code of Criminal Procedure § 102.017, there is hereby created a Municipal Court Building Security Fund. Each defendant convicted in a trial for a misdemeanor offense in the Municipal Court shall pay a security fee, in an amount as established by the City Council from time to time, as a cost of court, which fee shall be deposited in the City Treasury to the credit of the fund. A person is considered convicted for purposes of this court cost fee under any circumstance provided in Tex. Code of Criminal Procedure § 102.017(c).
