§ 8-27. Appeal.

  • Any person aggrieved by the action of the Chief of Police or City Secretary in the denial of the permit or license, or the action of the City Secretary in assessing a fee, shall have the right of appeal to the City Council. Such appeal shall be taken by filing with the City Council, within ten days after the action complained of, a written statement setting forth fully the grounds for the appeal. The City Council shall set a time and place for hearing of such appeal, and notice of such hearing shall be given to the appellant in the same manner as provided in section 8-26 for the notice of hearing on revocation. The decision and order of the City Council on such appeal shall be final and conclusive.
