§ 22-88. Definitions and rules.

(a)

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in the NFPA Fire Prevention Code, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Authority having jurisdiction means the Chief of the Fire Department.

Department means the authority having jurisdiction.

Governing Authority means the City Council.

Jurisdiction means the City's incorporated limits.

(b)

The City Board of Building Permits, Inspection and Plan Review shall be that similar building permit and code enforcement entity described within the International Fire Code.

(c)

Those definitions contained in NFPA Fire Prevention Code, Part II, chapter 2, Definitions, Abbreviations, and Terms shall apply.
